The volume of data that is being developing each day is increasing. In order to handle that huge volume of data we use Big Data. Big data large volume of data – both structured and unstructured – that inundates a business on a day-to-day basis.Traditional data processing software is inadequate to deal with Big Data.Traditional data processing means there will be a user, a centralized system & a relational database.This approach works well when there is only small amount of data. Here the data will be stored in an RDBMS like MS SQL Server, Oracle Databases & sophisticated softwares can be written to interact with the database, process the required data & present it to the user for analysis purpose. For Big Data this approach will not work.In Big Data data can be Structured, semi-structured & unstructured. Video is an example for unstructured data.
The three V’s are the three defining properties or dimensions of big data-Volume, Velocity, Variety.Volume is the volume of the data that is being generated, Velocity is the speed at which data is being generated & variety is variety of data that is structured, unstructured and so.

Today Social media generates a large volume of data.When we send a video through whatsApp or any other messenger there creates a data like this we create large amount of data by using social media.Stock exchanges holds data about sell & buy. The Transport data stores model, capacity, distance & availability of that vehicle.The main advantages of Big Data is the Increase of storage capacities, Increase of processing power, availability of data.

It is the computing process of discovering patterns in large data sets involving methods at the intersection of machine learning, statistics and database systems.The overall goal of data mining process is to extract information from a dataset and transform it into an understandable structure for further use. It is the process used by companies to turn raw data into useful information.
Data mining consists of five steps first Organizations collect data & load it into their data warehouses then They store & manage data either on in-house servers or in cloud after that Business analyst, management teams & Information technology professionals access the data & determine how they want to organize then the application software sorts the data based on the users result after all this the end user presents the data in an easy to share formate, such that as a graph or table.
